Hometown star Aaron Kelly will be performing at the Sullivan County Fair this year as its featured entertainment. Aaron will perform on September 4th, 2011 in the grandstand.

Aaron gained fans across the country as the youngest contestant to ever reach the top 5 on the popular show, American Idol®.  He participated in a national tour. He also appeared on national television shows such as The Ellen Degeneres Show, the Late Show with David Letterman, and Access Hollywood.  Not willing to rest there, his current goal is to record a pop flavored country album and capture a portion of the Taylor Swift mania that has quickly spread across the nation.  And… he has the songwriting ability and the pipes to do it! Aaron is signed to the national booking agency, CAA, and will be touring this summer.  He’ll be fronting his own band and appearing around the country while he writes songs for his upcoming album and readies himself for showcasing for Nashville labels.  He will also be performing at this year’s CMA Fest in Nashville.

At 17, Aaron is a professional performer.  American Idol® was far from his first time to perform in public.  His love to sing and write music became apparent at the age of 7, so his parents nurtured his desire allowing him to entertain at fairs, festivals and benefits where he opened shows for Emerson Drive, Aaron Tippin, Bill Anderson, Loretta Lynn, David Ball and sang with Martina McBride, Charlie Daniels, and the Marshall Tucker Band among others.  Local fans have supported Aaron throughout his career.
